How to rotate a PDF online

Upload your PDF and every page appears as a thumbnail. Use "Rotate all" to turn every page 90° at once, or rotate an individual page using the ↺/↻ buttons under its thumbnail. Nothing is changed until you click "Save & Download PDF."

Sideways pages are one of the most common annoyances in scanned documents — a single page fed into a scanner the wrong way, or a document photographed with the phone held sideways, ends up rotated while the rest of the file stays upright. Because each thumbnail rotates independently, you can fix just that one page without touching the rest, or straighten an entire document that came out landscape when it should be portrait.

Can I rotate just one page instead of the whole PDF?
Yes — click the rotate button under any individual page thumbnail to rotate just that page, or use "Rotate all" to rotate every page at once.
Why would a PDF have sideways or upside-down pages?
Almost always from scanning — a page fed into a scanner landscape-side up, or a phone held sideways for a document photo, saves that page rotated even though the rest of the PDF is upright. It's common for just one or two pages in an otherwise normal document to need fixing, which is why per-page rotation exists alongside "Rotate all."
Does rotating affect the PDF's quality or file size?
No — rotation only changes each page's orientation metadata, not its actual content, so text stays sharp and vector graphics stay crisp. File size is essentially unchanged.
Can I preview the rotation before saving?
Yes — every page thumbnail updates immediately as you rotate it, so you can check the orientation is correct before clicking "Save & Download PDF." Nothing is written to a file until you download.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No — rotation happens locally in your browser using pdf.js and pdf-lib. Your eyes only — we never get a look.
