PDF to Word
Extract the text from a PDF into an editable Word (.docx) file. This is a text-extraction tool, not a layout-preserving converter — see the FAQ below for what to expect.
Files are processed on your device — never uploaded, never stored, never seen by anyone.
How to convert a PDF to Word online
Upload your PDF and click "Convert to Word." The text on every page is extracted and reassembled into a Word (.docx) document, with a page break between each original page. Download the .docx file and open it in Word, Google Docs, or LibreOffice to edit the text.
Be upfront about what this does and doesn't do: it extracts text, not layout. Complex formatting, tables, multi-column text, images, and exact fonts are not preserved — a real full-fidelity PDF-to-Word conversion needs a much heavier engine than anything that can run entirely in a browser. This tool works best on straightforward text-based PDFs (letters, reports, forms with typed answers) where you mainly need the words back in an editable format, not a pixel-perfect copy.
