How to crop a PDF

Upload your PDF, then either drag the highlighted box directly on the preview (drag its body to move it, or its edge handles to adjust one side's margin) or type exact percentages into the fields below — both stay in sync. The same crop applies to every page. Click "Crop & Download" when it looks right.

Cropping works by moving each page's visible boundary (its CropBox), not by re-rendering the page as an image — so unlike some compression tools, this doesn't touch the underlying content at all. If your PDF has real, selectable text, that text is still there and still selectable after cropping; only what's visible on screen or in print changes. It's the right tool for trimming wide scanner margins, cutting off a printer's crop marks, or tightening up a page that has too much dead space around the actual content — not for reducing file size, since the full original page data is still stored in the file either way.

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No — cropping happens entirely in your browser using a live preview. Your PDF stays with you — your eyes only, we never get a look.
Does the crop apply to every page the same way?
Yes — the margin percentages you set are applied identically to every page in the PDF.
Can I preview the crop before downloading?
Yes — the highlighted crop box updates live over the page preview as you adjust the margins.
Can I drag the crop box instead of typing percentages?
Yes — drag the box itself to move it, or drag one of its edge handles to adjust that side's margin independently. The percentage fields update to match, and typing into them moves the box the same way, so you can use whichever is more convenient.
Will the text in my PDF still be selectable after cropping?
Yes — cropping only changes the page's visible boundary, not the actual page content, so any real text stays selectable, searchable, and copyable exactly as before.
Does cropping reduce the PDF's file size?
Not meaningfully. Cropping changes which part of each page is visible — the full original page content is still stored in the file, just outside the visible area. If your goal is a smaller file, use Compress PDF instead.
